Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Commit collects on bycommit.com, why, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller

Data we collect

We only collect what you enter in the quote form: project type, pack under consideration, estimated budget, message, name, company, email address and, if you wish, a phone number. We collect no data without your knowledge.

Purposes and legal basis

This data is used to answer your quote request and to talk with you about your project. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your request, and our legitimate interest in answering the requests sent to us. It is never sold, used for advertising or passed on to third parties for marketing.

Recipients and processors

The data is received by the Commit team. To work, the site relies on technical providers: Vercel (site hosting and form processing) and Resend (sending the email that forwards your request to us). Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union, under appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses).

Retention

Quote requests are kept for three years from our last exchange with you, then deleted. If you become a client, the data needed for the contractual relationship is kept in line with the applicable legal obligations.

Cookies and local storage

The site sets no advertising cookies and uses no audience-measurement tool or third-party social network. Your browser may remember, only on your device, your display preferences (chosen accent colour) and the context of a request in progress (chosen pack). This information is never sent to us and does not require consent.

Google reviews

The client reviews shown are public reviews posted on Commit’s Google listing. They are fetched when the site is published, never from your browser.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise them, write to hello@bycommit.com: we reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

Updates

This policy may change, for example if we add a new tool. The date of the last update appears at the bottom of every page.
